Here is Chapter 4, The Law of Non-Resistance, from author Florence Scovel Shinn’s first book The Game of Life. In her book, Florence’s writing style is to mention an aspect of the ‘Game of Life’ and then to give tangible examples from everyday life to illustrate it. (Link to Chapter 4).
What You Resists Persists
The Law of Non-resistance presents a similar idea as Carl Jung’s viewpoint “what you resist not only persists but will grow in size.” A key here is about focus. Our focus as Spirit living in a human body is incredibly powerful. We actually attract what we resist. The reason for this is whatever you resist you are actually powerfully focused on what you don’t want with strong feelings and emotion, and what you focus on with any emotion, you bring to you.
I heard a metaphysician once say, “If you do not run your

subconscious mind yourself, someone else will run it for you.”
This chapter opens by saying, “Nothing on earth can resist an absolutely nonresistant person”. Essentially presenting us with the idea that what we resist is not real. We actually give it power through our attention to it. This goes counter to much of how we have been trained to respond to circumstances in life.
The Chinese say that water is the most powerful element because it is perfectly nonresistant. It can wear away a rock, and sweep all before it.
